Well all of the boys are working really good in their merit activities. We've finished the Red Compass Merit, Red ToolCraft Merit and the Gold First Aid/CPR.

We're going to start on the Red FireCraft Merit on Dec. 6 so that those boys in our Outpost will have the basic required merits ready for the Annual WBCC Men & Boys Fishing Camping Trip at the end of April 2009 and the Westside Parley this May 2009.

Our Outpost was represented this year at District ROTY by Larry "Buddy" Norris III. This was his first participation and the same for the Outpost. He did very well to represent Outpost 168. Commander Larry & Commander Barry went over and assisted with the District Evalutions. Even Austin F. came to add his support for the Outpost!

At the end of the day the awards were presented. The group of us from Outpost 168 came home exhausted but, encouraged!

You can check how our Outpost is doing at anytime by looking at our Website, http://www.wbccroyalrangers.org and selecting Ranger Recognition.

We added a Bronze Medal Acheivement winner in October 2008 with Austin F. He was presented his BMA medal, ribbon and patch by Commander Barry. We even got it on video and posted it to YouTube!

Soon we'll have other's making these levels of merit and will be letting everyone know who they are! Look for them in the Blog and on the Website.

Since the last post,,,, There's been Alot going on at Outpost 168.

We've added 4 Bronze Medal Achievements, 2 Silver Medal Achievements, 2 Gold Hawk Medal Achievements, The boys have earned so many merit patches that Mrs. Forslund had to send her sewing machine in for Service from all the work sewing them on for the boys!Along the way we have had Service Projects to help our Church Food Bank at Thanksgiving.

Our Commander's were recognized for their commitments to Royal Rangers, Commander's Barry & Larry successfully completed their Leader's Medal of Achievement, Outpost Commander's Medals, Service and Senior Commander's Medals too!

The Sectional Trio of Commander Bill "White Buffalo", Commander Barry "Brother Bear" and Commander Larry worked together to put on a Discovery Training Camp we all attended! With that completed, they've been invited to help with a DTC event in the fall over in the Spokane Valley! They're working on the next training camp the Adventure Training Camp, which is like a merit camp event!

We just got back this weekend from the annual FCF Spring Parley! Next weekend is the Divisional Ranger Kids' Fun Day. The boys are going up on Friday to have an overnight campout and prepare to help host the Ranger Kids Fun Day!

With Ranger Camp only a few weeks away, the excitement is building!

Well since our last posting, we've participated in the Spring Parley, Ranger Kids Day and Finally Ranger Camp 2009! Commander's Barry sponsored Commander Larry into Frontiersman Camping Fellowship (FCF) this June. Commander Larry successfully completed his Frontier Adventure and is now officially a Frontiersman! Way to go Commander Larry!!

We've had a very busy Spring, Summer Time. The main activities have completed for the Summer. Now we can take a deep breath and start our planning for next year's program!

We are currently planning a bike ride for the Outpost, their families and inviting our Church Family. However, due to the closure of the Hyak Tunnel on the Iron Horse Trail, we will be most likely having a closer venue.

Come back to our website (http://www.wbccroyalrangers.org)to get the latest information!

We are planning the Outpost Registration/Charting for August 22, 2009. This will be a BBQ Event for the Boys and their Families.

Looking forward to seeing you there or at any of our upcoming events!

We've started again and have already have completed our Knife and Hawk merit. The boys were rewarded with a throwing knife to complete their competition skills and then made a sheath for it. Some even made their sheath for a hawk and have even finished their LeatherCraft merits!!! Way to Go 168...

Commander's Larry and Barry, Rangers Austin F. and Buddy N. will be venturing out to Spokane Valley to help with the Upcoming DTC event on Nov. 20-22.

As we will be still returning from Spokane Valley on Sunday Nov. 22, 2009, we will NOT have our regular Ranger Meeting that evening.

I'll be handing out merits and certificates over the next weekend Nov. 8, 2009. at our next meeting!

We'll be starting to do the Nature Study next and needing to finish off the Bachelor merit. With these merits completed, we'll have 2 boys nearing the completion of their Gold Medal of Achivement. These boys will need to complete their 500 word essay on "What has Royal Rangers meant to me?" and complete their Service Projects.

You can do it guys!!!

Still Serving the Master Ranger!

Well it's starting to look alot like Christmas.....

And it's looking like we will be honoring our boys with a Council of Achievement in the very near future!

All of the boys have been working really really hard! We'll have boys in Ranger Kids, Discovery, Adventure & Expedition Rangers receiving awards.

Along with our 2 oldest boys, which have earned the Royal Rangers, Gold Medal of Achievement!

Congrats Austin & Buddy!!

You are the First ever receipiants of the GMA EVER at Warm Beach Community Church.

You will be each honored with a celebration fitting for this honor!

We will have an event here at Warm Beach for both of the boys. Also there are plans for an event down at Renton New Life, as that is where many of the people that have spoken into Austin's life during Royal Rangers. We only thought it would be fitting!

We are very proud of the hard work you both have done to get to this, the pinnacle of your Royal Ranger training. There still many more milestones for you both to achieve! You are both on track to complete your Junior Leadership Training Academy, Frontiersmen Camping Fellowship Advancements, Adult Leadership Training too!

So you'll both still be very busy, but you have both earned your Gold Medal of Achievement!

Congrats to both of you!!!
